This is the last thing I made thank goodness. When I go the Chinese restaurants they always have these and they are always so good so why not try them myself. They do not seem hard to make either. They are just made with simple ingredients to that can be found around your home. Well my home I don't know about yalls home but you can find this stuff where I live.
This is what you need: 2 cups all purpose flour 2 tsp granulated sugar 1/2 tsp fine salt 2 1/2 tsp baking powder 6 tbsp cold unsalted butter, cubed 3/4 cup of whole milk Canola Oil for frying Sugar for coating These were really good they kind of taste like biscuits to me. I used powder sugar for instead of granulated sugar which was better because the donuts taste like funnel cake to me. I also used cinnamon and chocolate which was really good. I strongly recommend you make this because it was delicious.

I tThis week I made a mango jelly cube. I love mangoes and they are the best thing ever. They are sweet and juicy and I just love them. I love jello also so i feel these will be really good. Some challenges i might face is finding the right ingredients. I also hope the recipes actually gels. If it didn't I would cry. That's what this whole recipe is based on and if that failed I wouldn't have anything
For this recipe you need: 4 large mangoes 1/2 cup orange juice 1 1/4 cup of water 2 tsp agar agar or gelatin 1/3 cup sugar lime juice for taste 5-10 mint leaves This is for the mango layer For the coconut layer you need: 1 1/3 coconut milk 1 1/3 cups water 2 tsp agar or gelatin 8 tbsp sugar 1/4 tsp salt For this you have to do alot oyu have to blend the orange juice and 1 mango. Then you have to boil water put the agar agar powder in wait for that to dissolve them put mango purree in there then do the same for the coconut. I thought these were good but you just had to do a lot of work. My next thing that iḿ cooking is Korean fried chicken wings. You know had to do. I think this going to really good but like crazy. It is something i am familiar with. I feel like ill burn or under cook them but i am going to use a thermometer. I just hope these come out okay because i love chicken wings. This is a Korean meal. i Hope they come out the way i want them too because they look really good. I hope they come out crispy and are cooked thoroughly.
What you need: Chicken wings washed and drained 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tsp ground black pepper 1 tsp minced ginger 3/4 cup potato starch 1 tbsp sesame seeds 5 cups vegetable oil I liked these they were actually really good. I strongly recommend doing these not only were they crispy but they had a good taste. It was really easy recipe but it just took like 13 minute to cook. I had to cook them in a pan too because i didn't have a fryer. We also ate it with some shrimp too. Plus some salad. I say this recipe was a success and do they you should make it with your family. I ate mine with some barbecue sauce and that was good. So try it with different sauces and see what you like. The next thing I made was cold cucumber soup. I love cucumber and thought this would be good to make. It looks like a dip for cucumber kind of like ranch. I don't like the aspect of it being cold but i think it will still be fine. This is a Korean dish. It looks healthy also. I mean i'm not on that healthy vibe but still if you were you would enjoy it
What you need: 1 cup of seedless cucumber peeled and diced 1/2 cup of water 1 cup plain Greek yogurt 1 green onion 1 tsp Dijon mustard 2 tbsp fresh dill 2 tbsp fresh parsley 1 tsp salted herbs For this recipe all you have to do is blend all the ingredients together. I don't know if i would make this recipe again. It was kind of nasty. i don't know if i didn't make it right or it was just genuinely nasty. It was like sour which I think was the Greek yogurt which is very sour. All I know that this was not good and i do not think anybody should make this. I don't know what went wrong but it was just nasty. The next thing i am going to make is the marinated shrimps. I thought this would be good because i love shrimp and we don't eat a lot of it at my house. This didn't look hard to make and i think it will taste really good. Again i don't think i am going to make it exactly like it looks. I can add my own little flare too it though so it will be okay. I might not be able to find belimbing wuluh because I don't exactly know what it is. I am willing to learn though.
What you need is: A pack of fresh shrimp Water 2 chillis 4 shallots 2 tbsp of tamarind juice fresh parsley Bottled sweet chili sauce I enjoyed this. I didn't use all the ingredients because i simply could not find the. I just marinated it with tamarind juice. Which was really good surprisingly. It has this sweet tangy taste that went really well with the shrimp. I think anybody could do this because its really easy. it doesn't not take a long time to cook either. I just marinated in tamarind juice and put it in a pan and it was bomb. So if you want the fast easy way take my route. This is the next thing that I will be making. I think this will just taste like a tater tot with a slight different flavor to it. I picked this because i love potatoes and it looked really good. I think ill have a problem with getting one of the ingredients the dried shrimp but I'm going to substitute it with shrimp sauce instead which will probably be better anyway. I hope i can get it to the right crispiness. I don't think they are going to look exactly the same but I'm going to try. This is a Malaysian and Singaporean dish
This is the recipe: A bag of potatoes 1 1/2 tbsp dried shrimp 1/2 tsp salt 1 egg (beaten) Dash of white pepper 1 Tbsp fried shallots 1 Tbsp chopped parsley leaves This just tasted like a a round hash brown to me. It was good it just tasted like a big french fry to me. I might've not made it right but either way it was good. I garnished it with some parsley leave it was good. It doesn't exactly look like the picture. This is something I have to work on making the dish the correct way and figuring out what went wrong. The potato did kind of separate. I think I didn't make it it into a ball enough and that was the problem but I eventually got it too work. I recommend you try it but just for fun. Stir Fried Beef with Mixed Vegetables it a Chinese dish. I picked this dish because it looked good and it didn't look hard to make. In my family we usually make some kind of chicken stir fry but this time I used steak. Its a quick dish and you can use any vegetables you want. You want need a lot for this recipe . Here are some things you will need.
Ingredients: A package of stir fry beef 2 tsp garlic 1 tsp ground pepper 1/2 tsp white pepper 1 carrot (peeled and thinly sliced) 1 bunch of asparagus (cut into 6cm peices) 3 tsp of oyster sauce This recipe was actually really good. I strongly recommend. If you want it juicier i recommend water and more vegetables. The meat also will come out more tender. The taste was a sweet and salty. My family ate it it with rice and it was delicious. This could be a main course on its on. We put broccoli asparagus carrots baby corn and onions in it to give it more flavor. I would make this again. The only trouble was not making it wet enough and eventually i added more ingredients that made it above and beyond. My next thing that I was going to make was honey sesame chicken. Its Chinese and I love sesame chicken. The sweetness and stickiness of it. This dish can be found in Chinese restaurants. I think this could be fun to make for dinner one day. I feel my family doesn't branch out enough. So I'm happy to be bringing other cultures and foods into the house. I would think that they would enjoy it but also this isn't anything too different so they want be like what is this. I wanted to change it up but knowing them they would probably say something stupid.
I'm honestly really excited to be cooking and kind of scared. What if I don't cook the chicken to its right temperature or the whole thing just does not turn out well. I'm glad my parents will be watching over me and helping so I don't get everyone sick. My whole family including me loves chicken. I hope this is a thing that we can find good and continue to make. We don't have a lot of home cooked meals so this is going to be really fun to do. For this recipe you need: 2 chicken breast 2 cloves of minced garlic sesame seeds To makes the batter you need: 1 egg white 1/2 cup of all purpose flour(sifted) 1/4 corn starch 1/2 tsp baking powder 1/2 ice cold water 1 tbsp oil pinch of salt Honey sesame sauce 1/4 cup pure honey 1 tsp apple cider 1/2 tbsp ketchup 1 tsp sesame oil 2 tsp corn starch 1/2 cup of water 1 tsp salt You will mix all these ingredients together. Then coat the chicken and let it sit. Heat up the pan and put oil. After that start dropping the cubes then drain on paper towels. Then take some of the oil transfer it into a skillet and put the minced garlic in then the sauce. After that put the chicken in and stir. You should be done after that you can eat it with rice if you want too. This week I will begin to cook. This seems really intriguing. I think I'm going to really enjoy it and who doesn't like desserts. I need to make sure I don't 0ver cook anything. I feel that will be a challenge for me cause I've never made anything like this before and I just want it to turn out good. It's basically a pastry wrapped banana and it originated from Thailand. The recipe for the Roti is flour, butter, salt, eggs, sugar and water and that's just for the pastry part. Then all you need is bananas. Roti originated from the word bread. It's usually served with condensed milk, chocolate syrup or powdered sugar. it can also be served with curry. You can really put anything with it but I'm just using bananas because it looks good. The goal in making it is to make the dough really thin. I feel like this will be a challenge for me and i would make it too thick so lets hope I can achieve it. First you mix the flour, salt and sugar in a mixing bowl. Then you the put the melted butter in. After that put your condensed milk, egg and water in the mix. Its ready when dough gets soft and elastic. Cut the dough into 6-8 equal pieces then you cover those in butter. Let them sit in a bowl for 2 hours or overnight. Set up a work space with the melted butter. Then start thinning the dough and cook it for like 1-2 minutes.Then place the sliced bananas and egg mixture in the middle. Fold the pastry over And flip until both sides are golden brown. Then you are done and you can drizzle condensed milk or chocolate syrup on top. This was a very hard to make and I almost gave up. I eventually got the dough to flatten out because the first one i made was really thick and i put to much banana in it. I made them smaller and and it worked out pretty well. I don't think i would make this again because it was a just a difficult recipe in my opinion. It was kind of good a little crispier than I would like. I sprinkled some powder sugar on it and that also made it good. I am still researching ingredients and also getting things ready so I can finally began cooking. I can't wait to begin because all of this researching has a lot but interesting. I do not know what I should start with. Maybe the Banana Roti. That seems like it would be good. I think i need to figure out and order to make these so I can be more organized.
So, Banana Roti First and maybe the Honey Sesame Chicken next then the Marinated shrimps. After maybe the Snowskin Moon Cakes then then Korean Chicken Skewers . Stir Fried Vegetables will probably be next. Then maybe this Stir Fried Pork and Vegetables. Hopefully my list stays like this but some things might change you never know. I have the first couple of recipes in order now i just have to hope nothing fall through and i don't have to change my whole recipes. I feel like some of these will be hard but I'm probably over exaggerating. I hope all these recipes come out like i want so i can do good on this project. I can't wait to start cooking cause it has been research heavy so that i don't mess anything up and that i have the right ingredients. Im very excited to finally start this project |
